Remote on/off switch for DxO One
« on: February 02, 2018, 02:58:54 am »
Well, not quite. But I do like to attach filters and lens hoods to my DxO One while shooting. And frankly, it is a royal pain in the a$$ to have to remove the adapter just to turn the camera on every few minutes. Bad design. So I took matters into my own hand. I took a loose 37mm-52mm step-up ring and glued a small magnet onto it as shown. With such a simple hack I can now leave the filter attachment on permanently (together with the loose step-up ring+magnet) and just turn the magnet back and forth to turn the camera on & off as needed.
