Hi,
at the end of the workflow, I want to export all selected images to a specific folder, with a new dedicated name and variable suffix, like this list
Francis_editing5-1.jpg
Francis_editing5-2.jpg
Francis_editing5-3.jpg
...
....
Francis_editing5-25.jpg

Instead of the classical name: P1190481_DxO.jpg

Is it possible?  There is nothing to do that in the export window.

To the best of my knowledge the only name change you can make in PhotoLab during export involves adding a suffix to the existing file name.

You can, of course, use the Mac OS to rename images and the rename functionality does offer you the ability to sequence those new names.

Thank you for your answer.
This functionality is available with Lightroom since the first release.

Then my workflow should be
1) Import from camera to Lightroom Catalog and folders
2) Best RAW traitement using DxO PhotoLab
3) Best B&W using Nik collection and/or DxO FilmPack
4) Export the last Jpeg From PhotoLab to Lightroom using a new Folder
5) Export from Lightroom to USB Key, Flickr ... to be able to change the names

I will try to find a specific software able to do that. My objective is to stay inside DxO suite.

Now  inside Lightroom  there is a Filename Template editor since LR 4.0 you can rename files - during import, or export, and within the Library module.
I am sure that renaming during export is enough for many end users. Custom Name and Sequence at minimum.
Hop that DxO guys will take care of that minimum request.

The very first operation I do as soon as I downloaded pics from my cam is to rename them with Automator, the app with the most complete set of features for renaming files and folders, in particular a unique one: Find and Replace a chain of characters by another one. Very convenient.
You can do it after editing your pics with DPL but make sure you rename the .dop sidecars with the same name as their image.

Thank you Nick

Here is a video (in French) explaining the usage of automator to rename the files, from the finder

Automator is a very powerful tool.
Yet it's missing a feature: you can't erase n characters at the beginning or at the end of file name.
I would also like an If… Then… clause.

Advanced Renamer (https://www.advancedrenamer.com/) offers the ability to remove a specified number of characters from the start or end of a filename (or at some other specified starting point).

I rename the files right off of the SD card, otherwise they get confusing.

The tool I use is Path Finder, which supports a wide range of options, including timestamping and sequencing, plus regular expressions. I did pay some nominal amount for this app, but I have found it to be useful for many things as a replacement of Mac's finder.

Thank you,
Path finder" It’s a file browsing tour de force"

tour de force is a French sentence, the meaning should be:   an achievement or performance that shows great skill and attracts admiration.

The meaning of my question was in the desire to stay in the photographic software to achieve everything whether one is in Windows or OS / X

Advanced Renamer (https://www.advancedrenamer.com/) offers the ability to remove a specified number of characters from the start or end of a filename (or at some other specified starting point).
But it's a "Batch file renaming utility for Windows." and we are on Macs. Nobody is perfect!  ;D
