DxO ONE 2nd generation: battery pack compatibility
« on: October 16, 2017, 10:28:12 pm »
Hi, there is a mention to a « DxO One 2nd generation » in the battery pack page - does this correspond to a new model, or to an existing one?
Curious to know...
Thanks

According to the product description for the new DXO One battery pack (https://store.dxo.com/others/battery-pack.html), it is only compatible with a second generation or more recent DXO One camera. Is there a quick way to tell or confirm what version/generation camera we have?

Hi,

Indeed, there are two models of the DxO ONE on the market right now.

Our support team just updated the FAQ: https://support.dxo.com/hc/en-us/articles/115013620767-The-new-battery-pack-indicates-it-needs-a-2nd-gen-DXO-One-How-can-I-know-what-gen-camera-we-have-

Thanks - this is clear now (on my side I have a 2nd gen purchased one year ago).

Is there any other difference under the hood?

Merci

Hi Fred,

The only difference is the back door trap: in the 2nd generation cameras, the back door can be removed and the reset button is a bit larger.

Functionally-wise, no difference.

Thanks - knowing that this great little camera is built to last and is not going to be obsolete soon is really a great, great quality in my opinion - pretty unique on the market  ;)
