Please clear up Super Raw confusion
« on: June 17, 2017, 09:17:13 pm »
Super Raw has been variously claimed to be 1. A noise reducer at high ISO, 2. An HD image @ 40 megapixel or higher, 3. Both 1 and 2.

Jus† what are the parameters of Super Raw?  No opinions please. Just the facts.

I shoot only Super RAW now with my DxO. It increases the perceived resolution because there is in fact 4x more data per pixel as with any ordinary Bayer-array digital camera. What is the practical upshot of that? I routinely print images that can "keep up" with my Nikon D800 (which is 36Mp). And yes, I also routinely get nearly noise-free ISO 1000 images out of the DxO One when using Super RAW + processing in DxO Optics Pro.
